Farm.Butcher.Table Announces 2016-17 Partnership with Yollocalli Arts Reach

Farm.Butcher.Table is beyond excited to announce that for the next 12 months we will be working in partnership with the youth-centered, non-profit organization: Yollocalli Arts Reach. For the past 7 years, Farm.Butcher.Table has been partnering with nonprofit organizations based in Chicago and across the Midwest to host unique dining experiences, raise crucial funds, increase awareness of their work and accelerate the positive impact they have in our shared communities.

Farm.Butcher.Table and Yollocalli will be working together to build bridges between Chicago communities, promote intergenerational mentoring relationships, and support the positive development of Latino youth. To do so, we are co-developing an exciting and innovative calendar of events where food serves as a vehicle that connects youth, mentors, and communities. Details surrounding upcoming events will be released in the coming weeks.

Yollocalli Arts Reach is a nationally recognized and respected youth program of the National Museum of Mexican Art. Founded in 1997, its mission is to increase access to community, artistic, and cultural resources among Latino youth (ages 13 to 24) in the Pilsen and Little Village neighborhoods. Through the arts, Yollocalli programs promote creativity and leadership, while engaging youth as positive change agents in their communities. Their programs present to young people a broad range of artistic areas to explore, ranging from basic drawing and painting, to social performance, mural painting, and radio production.

Since 2009 Farm.Butcher.Table has focused on using local food products and working with local talent in the food industry to put on one of a kind dining experiences that raise awareness and support underfunded organizations in our communities. This focus on sourcing the best of what the Midwest has to offer has allowed us to work with some of the region’s leading farmers, chefs and food entrepreneurs and has pushed Farm.Butcher.Table to raise our own products to further the connection of our mission to sustainable food.

Stay tuned and connect with both Farm.Butcher.Table and Yollocalli Arts Reach via social media outlets to find out more about all these events:

Events will be delicious, fun, and --above all-- uplifting. Let us all be agents of positive change for our beloved city of Chicago!
